This step feels like a significant milestone for American business in China. James Fallows, a longtime China correspondent who now writes for The Atlantic, has an interesting post discussing the significance of this development: "The google news: China enters its Bush-Cheney era." Fallows' decidedly dark conclusions are particularly notable because he is usually a very moderate and optimistic American voice about China.
